Job Description

  • Start as assistant manager, learn our business, and grow into the position of General Manager.
  • Assist the owner in all operational activities – a great opportunity to learn the entire business and gain valuable experience.
  • Mentor each department as we continually raise our standard. Must be comfortable leading the team and earning their respect. 
  • Conduct training sessions for new employees and to develop the skills of existing employees.
  • Strictly follow our mindset of using a standard procedure for each job, and then develop our team by writing procedures for tasks that don’t have one yet.
  • Comfortable assisting all aspects of our operations. Your duties will often include reception, emails, assisting F&B, inspecting housekeeping, and other ongoing duties to help each department or fill-in for any staff who’s missing.
  • Helping communicate between the team and GM.
  • Translating documents.
  • Storing confidential information and files.
  • Improving team communication through regular meetings and by working alongside each person.
  • Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene and professional appearance.
  • Understand the brand image and convey that to our customers and team

Job Requirements

  • Ideally you will have previous experience in an international 4 or 5 star property at the supervisory level or higher.
  • Attitude is more important than technical ability. It’s very important your attitude is Friendly, helpful, and positive.  We operate a no-blame culture, and we all help each other to be successful without putting each other down.  It’s critical you understand this, and you are happy to support and encourage this style.  You have an open mind to trying new things and learn a new way.  Bossy, closed-minded, or need-to-be-right types of attitude will not fit in.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Proficient with the computer and Microsoft Office.
  • Able to work alone and manage multiple tasks happening at the same time.
